FMMs for 2023

The price for FMMs usually increases on January 1 of each new year, so Discover Baja cannot issue prepaid FMMs for 2023 until after the first week of January when we know the price increase and any policy changes. If you plan to cross into Mexico the first week of January, we suggest you get your FMM at the border when you cross.

New Vaquero Museum Opens in El Triunfo

The Museum of the Vaqueros of California (MuVaCa) opened at the beginning of November in the small Baja California Sur town of El Triunfo. The bilingual, multi-media museum tells stories about the origins of the vaquero and ranchero culture in California (Alta and Baja) over the last 300 years. The museum has a gift shop as well as a café, Las Alforjas, serving traditional ranch food.

Baja Restaurants Ranked in Top 50 Restaurants in Latin America’s

Two Baja California restaurants made the Pellegrino list of the Top 50 Restaurants in Latin America. Chef David Castro Hussong’s Fauna restaurant in Valle de Guadalupe was ranked #16 and Chef Alfredo Villanueva’s Villa Torél, also in Valle de Guadalupe, was ranked #18. You can find the full list here. Two more Baja California restaurants made the honorary list with Ensenada’s Manzanilla ranking #54 and Valle De Guadalupe’s Animalón ranking #100.

December 15th Last Date for DBTC Holiday Shipping
