Delay on Processing SENTRI Applications and Renewals
Because of the government shutdown, the CBP is behind in processing SENTRI applications and renewals. If you already have SENTRI and have already applied for your renewal but your current card is expired and you have not received your new card yet, you are still able to use the SENTRI lane with your old card for six months past the expiration date. You are able to start the reapplication process for SENTRI within a year before your expiration. The earlier the better. For more information, you can call the SENTRI/Global Entry San Ysidro Enrollment Office at 619-690-8841.
